I know, another AOD to T-5 swap question, bolt size?

I have searched but not luck for this one.

Can I reuse the transmission to bellhousing bolts (4 of them I believe) for my aod to t-5 swap?

If I get the two upper shorter bolts for the bellhousing to block, can I re-use the other bolts. I believe I can, but just wanted to hear it from somebody.

Thanks

Yes you can use them.

Actually the top 2 bolts from the bellhousing to the block are longer on an AOD than a T-5. So when you swap to the T-5 you can get shorter bolts for top 2 bolts or use some washers.

Great,
So the trans to bellhousing bolts are okay to reuse?

And the bellhousing to block, need two shorter bolts, or use washers?

Thanks

wait...what

the AOD doesn't have any trans to bellhousing bolts....the trans & bellhousing are 1 unit.

the t5 has trans to bellhousing (4 bolts) and bellhousing to block. I can tell you that the upper AOD bolts are longer than the upper bolts on the t5, but the side bolts of the AOD are the same as the t5. If I were you, I'd just get them from a junk t5 car.

Dang, I feel stupid.

I see know. I am buying a new ford bellhousing from Ford Racing. Do you think that it will come with the 4 tranny to bellhousing bolts? Sorry for the confusion.

Does anybody know the length and size of the bellhousing bolts to the block and the bolts for the transmission? I don't really have access to a junked 5.0. Thanks
