So I was on ebay thinking "hey I wonder how much a turbo kit costs?"

I found a "mustang" complete turbo kit here for $400. Would someone who knows what the hell is going on when it comes to turbo please explain to me exactly what this would do, if anything, on a stock fox?

From reading up on turbomustangs.com forums, I've found that the ebay turbo kits have junk turbos, and the hotside is crap and cracks. In addition, nothing fits right. They seem to like B&G custom turbos for an affordable kit($3000+) Here's their entry level kit at $2700. BG Turbo kit stage 1

It's one of those It's to good to be true kind of things. I've looked at a lot of turbo's and you're looking at $3000+

Sadly, there's no cheap way to make a huge amount of HP.

That size turbo is going to be way to small and by the time you try to figure out what else you need to make a turbo install work you will have as much in it as you would buying a kit already put together. What are you going to do for all the headers and piping, cooler, injectors, boost controller...

Im in the process of doing this as we speak thats why my car is down for another year.. But do your research and look for deals like I bought a air to air intercooler from my buddy for $500 bucks, stage 2 kit headers and crossover $575, and now looking for a t-76 t-4 or t-6 flange turbo seen them going for $800-$1200 on the net looking to go low 9's on PUMP GAS

Well my general rule of thumb is " you get what you pay for". This seemed way too cheap to even be worth its own weight in pennies, but I had to ask just for the sake of asking.

Thanks for the input all
