I know why autometer discontinued the gauges

They came out with this

http://www.autometer.com/media_newsarticle.aspx?yr=2007&mo=5&pg=1&aid=72

I think I would rather have this than the old one.

That would look kick a$$ with this one...

"#10008 holds two 3 3/8” instruments and four 2 1/16” gauges, providing a sleek way to gauge your vehicle’s performance"

When it says PATS must be deactivated, does that mean permanently? If so, that blows.

I wouldn't want to deactivate the PATS system. The "theft" light is gone.

But it's a really NICE looking gauge cluster.

Its pretty much for race cars since there is no warning light setup like on the old stock swap clusters.

The old cluster looked better imo. Way better.

"1996 and newer vehicles require deactivation of PATS system."

That kills the sale for me right there

THIS IS NOT FOR STREET USE. Its pretty much a delete for race cars that wanna run gauges without making an aluminum panel

Neither are O/R X or H pipes and people still use those.

This thread scared me for a sec, I have the old autometer cluster =x

This does look good. I like the black, it would go well with the dark interior and the black car. Shame is just a race setup.
