Well I was bored being home all day for the Thanksgiving holiday so around 10:00pm I jumped in the Stang and went for a ride. The cold night air was great the car ran like an animal, I hit the local shopping mall and ran a few "laps" around the parking lot roads. I loved it !!!! I'm always pissed that Ford cheaped out with all the plastic in the interior and once in a while you get a squeak here an there but rides like I took tonight remind me what this car is all about. FUN!!!! Just had to share.

I love the cold air as well. My car pulls like a madman in the cool weather. Its hard not to put your foot in it. Plastic rattles are driving me insane right now. Havent had a chance to take it to the dealer.

Sounds like a great time........... Down here we've had some cooler weather as well and I love to drive just to hear the exhaust on the V8........

As for the rattles and the plastic....... I had a $67K BMW M3 and it was worse. The interior was crap. In fact I'd go so far as to tell you the leather in the Ford is better than what I got in the M3. Also on the Mustang, Ford was smart enough to place felt-like materials where the leather and plastics rub. It is not the same on the M3. As a result, I'd get squeaks in the car when driven b/c of the leather rubbing against the plastic. On the Mustang, for a little over 1/3 the price, I have a car that I can easily get similar power out of relatively cheap. What I'd like to do now (it just has 2K miles on it right now) is upgrade the suspension and upgrade the interior.

I had asked here and some other forums about upgraded panels like something wrapped in carbon fiber but was scoffed at. I have recently seen more aluminum is available. Perhaps it'll be a combination of leather upgrades and aluminum accents. We'll see.

Anyways......... enjoy........

I've got the premier trim and comfort package and don't think my car feels cheap at all. In fact it's one of the nicer interiors I've been in! I love my car as well, too bad I've only put about 4000 miles on it myself. I'll be home in about two weeks and I'm gonna drive the wheels off of her!

Almost forgot one of the best parts, she'll be paid off around Feb 09! Woohoo!

I have a rattle in the right rear near the convertible top. Very annoying but its only when I hit big bumps. Bad roads here.

However, it still is a pleasure to drive; brings a smile to my face every time. Good decompression after a stressful day at work.

I also love driving my Stang It just turned 64K miles the beginning of this week and this is only after 27 months of ownership when she only had 8 miles on her! I just dropped it off Wednesday at the body shop to have the hood fixed from hitting plywood on the interstate. This is the longest she's been away from home Once, VERY early on in our lives together, she spent two nights at the dealership. I also enjoy the colder temps as even the 87 octane tune is running really strong!

I love my car too, It doesnt get driven now though because the roads are nasty with snow and ice, but the gravel and salt they put on the road is the main reason. I just turned 30,000 in it with no rattles. I love the interior in these cars.
