Today at work I saw a friend who referred me to this svt mechanic, who is doing some HCI, exhaust, tranny swap work for me right now. My friend says he saw the mechanic at the shop and told him that he can't get the tranny(TKO) and exhaust(mac longtubes and prochamber) in the car cause the stuff won't line up right! I haven't talked to the mechanic yet but I will tommorow to hear the bad news. So today at work I was thinking about selling all the crap I bought and maybe getting rid of the car. I spent over $4,000 on all that crap just so it won't bolt on! I'm sure he can get the HCI in there but I don't want to have that without the exhaust and tranny to take the extra power. I don't know, I'm just really pissed off right now.

So I'm sorry to say that I may be getting rid of all this and maybe get a 96-98 Cobra or a quad cab truck(always wanted one).

Well, he can't get the lakewood bellhousing in(which I heard those are a pain in the arse to put on) and the prochamber is like 2-3" off where it's suppose to connect to the longtube headers.

This guy knows his stuff. When my friends 03 Cobra broke(he let some dumbass drive it and he missed a shift and broke a piston) the mechanic put in a whole new engine and a bunch other stuff to it in a couple of weeks.

Keep the TKO and H/C/I... can you find a good shop in the area that can modify your longtubes to make them fit? If not, just sell them and get some Hookers or another brand.

Ok, talked to the mechanic today and it turns out that my friend over exaggerated a little to me. He said that the TKO is in and just has to align the angle of it a little better. He said that the pro chamber needs a little work to get it to bolt up to the longtubes and just needs to do little stuff and he hopes to start it up this weekend. I hope he does, he has had it for about 2.5 months now and I'm itching to drive it now that the weather is nice.

One thing I will need is to get it tuned. How does the dyno tunning process work exactly? Do you just hand them the keys and they do all the work or do you have to do anything while you are getting tuned?? I plan on getting a SCT dynotune. Thanks guys.

haha over rev the blessed 03 cobra motor and break a piston sounds like someone wanted $$$$
That install pays big. Also if he can't do it then really you need to find someone else. He apparently can't massage parts in which is needed not only with that bellhousing but dearly needed with the lt's and prochamber.
