I guess I've fell into one of those get rich schemes again. I may be jumping the gun here but this thread:

Hey all,

As some of you know I am moving to florida on Wed. I had originally sold my intake manifold on ebay for 46 bucks. The guy who bought it never paid. What a Jerk. But besides that. My wife and I are very cocerned about space issues in our move. Basically I just want to get rid of it. I have it listed right now on ebay for a one day auction. The shipping is like 40 bucks and if any of you wanted it I would be glad to ship it to you for the shipping cost. If anyone is interested would you please email me before tomorrow and let me know? Here is the link...check out my feedback.

Thanx all,
Mike

I went ahead and conversed a little through email then sent him a Paypal transfer for the amount he was asking for, then...nothing..No response..Nothing.. I may be getting ahead of myself by posting this as he might just have other arrangements that came up, but at least send out a response email or something.

Anybody know this person? Am I just jumping-the-gun here?

I apologize if this is all a mis-understanding and I hope that it is, I'd just like to hear from stng94 so as to set my mind at ease.

I'm fixing to experiment on powercoating and wanted something to 'practice' on. I just bought a kit off Ebay and didn't want to ruin one of my parts on my mustang. That and the price was too sweet to pass up. Either that, or I can polish it up whilest I still have my Stang runing thus I can take my time..

We had conversed a little bit over email before I sent out the payment. Like within twenty minutes he had responded to each and every email I sent him(about 4) up until I sent out the payment email through paypal. I also stated I might be jumping-the-gun or impatient, but he stated as soon as I send out the payment, he would end the auction early. I JUST bid on the intake to cover my losses as I had not heard anything from him since I sent out the payment.

I guess I'll wait and see what happens. I apologize if this is too early to be sending out a post like this......

i think you may be jumping the gun a little bit here. He's got 42 positive responses and he's not going to throw that number away, so under 12 hours isn't a big issue... for all anybody really knows maybe he has a night job and sleeps during the day??? haha, well that's a little out there and i guess it's not bad to be concerned ( i too was hosed on an online deal through paypal so..). dunno man, i'd wait a few more hours

$30-$40 for a stock upper AND lower is about right. Costs less if they are boxed together.

We had conversed through email and he said he was supposed to end the auction early once I paid for it through Paypal. I sent him the payment and HE LEFT THE AUCTION UP FOR OTHERS TO BID and therefore in the end the intake was won by someone else. Now he has payment from me and he can get verified payment through Ebay for the won auction from someone else. Just who is he supposed to send the intake to?? Me or the person who actually won the auction. He'll send the intake to the winning bid and keep his positive responses cause I cannot input in a negative response and therefore I've ben hosed......

(It's not about the money, more of a trust issue here that was broken)

When you go off-line to bid and make arrangements, you loose the benefits that come from using e-bay the right way. Sorry he took ya, but you kinda left yourself open for it.
