Sorry Tim. Btw, I'm working with someone from IOWA and he'll be shipping his 68 out here to finish restoring it this spring some time. Then we're gonna play........

Where is the person at in Iowa? Probably in Des Moines or the Quad cities area. I'm far from those places.

Have fun with the resto!

My bad, it's a 65 Stang...Elenor green...yes original paint. He's from Cedar Rapids. Another friend of mine has a 68 and someone needs to call Chip Foose on that one as I doubt he will gat around to restoring it.

I located my old car (see post #1). It's close by, in Nebraska. I have the ability to contact the owner.

Should I? The intent would be to see if he would want to part with it.

Go for it! Like Gcomfx says, the worst they can say is no. Stay in touch, if he say no now he may be willing to let it go later.

My only fear here is that it's beat or riced to hell and I won't be happy with what I see. :\

Could be. Could fail. I'll stew on it this weekend when I'm at the track, racing in a new S197.

Thanks, mates. I needed some feedback to feel out what to do next.

I might. I race all weekend this weekend at Midwest Mustang Madness in a new GT, so I'm sure my Mustang bug will be rekindled big-time.
