I need a new headliner

My '86 SVO is in need of one and it's missing everything. The cardboard, insulation, etc.... Where should I shop for this? Also, can I add any special insulation up top to keep the car quieter?

Latemodel Restoration Supply has headliners (material with headliner board). The board is made out of plastic instead of cardboard, and it requires lots of trimming.

You can also order the material with the foam backing through them. If you can't find a junkyard headliner in the correct color or in good shape, you could get the board from a junker, and have it recovered.

I used my old board (maybe you can find a good one used somewhere) and bought some headliner type material at Joann Fabric. Cost about $10, and looks as good if not better than stock.
