I have a 91 GT with many mods. I recently built a 306 with all forged internals, Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, Trick Flow Track Heat intake and all the other parts to support this. I recently added a vortec S-Trim; in doing this I needed to up my fuel system agian. I bought a set of Vortec fuel rails that I'm having a lot of trouble with. the fuel rails don't adgust down far enough for the injectors to seat into the intake. the bolts in the brakets are hitting the bottom of the rails, so I know they won't go down any further. I contacted Vortec about this problem and they were needless to say not helpful. they tried to tell me that the rails were for stock intakes only witch I knew was wrong. They also told me that it's possible they sent me the wrong fuel rails, but the injector ports line up as do the mounting brakets/holes. Vortec doesn't put part numbers on their fuel rails so I can't varify this to be true or not. I switched from ev1 to ev6 injectors, because I got a good deal on a set of 42Lb units. they are the exact same length so I don't believe this is the problem. I'm stumped on what to do and a little pissed off at the same time. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I have these same rails on my car with the edelbrock Victor EFI. I had the same problem and found vortechs tech help is mostly useless. I had to go to home depot and get a countersink. Then get new tapered head screws. You cant use the cap head screws they provide for you. You have to countersink the hole sand then use the taper head screws so they fit flush with the mounting brackets. Hopefully that helps.
