Regarding the pedal sticking, check your throttle spring/linkage. It may be sticking open, which is a common problem with some throttle bodies.

Where did you install the coolant lines?

Sounds like coolant from the EGR spacer is leaking into the engine

Yeah, it was pretty stiff, but eventually a buddy

Try resetting the idle and see if that helps it run any better. I usually reset mine every time I tamper with something.

thanks for the link kpack,i reset the idle and it seems to sound and idle right where i want it......... and as far as coolant leaking into the engine...i dont know how thats happening. All i did was replace the gasket and connect everything back in its correct place. which one is the coolant line ? theres only one hose that goes to the engine.

Do you have a stock engine?? Stock intake? (if you do that makes me wonder why you are putting a 70mm TB on a stock engine but anyway)

The TB bolts to the EGR spacer. On the EGR spacer there are two coolant lines. They fill the EGR spacer with coolant on the throttle body side of the spacer. When you replace the TB you gotta make sure you seal this up well otherwise coolant will leak into the engine.

Npow if you don't have a stock setup, then it's different story

its an 87 right? should be SD. you dont think that could be causing some problems?
On my GT, the MAP sensor gave me problems and vacuum leaks too. and check if you tb is on there nice and tight. sometimes you need to retighten gaskets. but i doubt it since its such a thin gasket. but its a possibillty

I think the gasket they gave me is the wrong one I put it on and I noticed something leaking out and it made my car turn off,I thought adding the bbk throttle body would give me more HP, Was I wrong to install this on my stock engine ?

70mm is pretty big for a stock engine. Without an intake or heads it's really not going to do much. You might lose a little low end torque as well.

But yes, there is coolant in the EGR spacer. You need to take it apart and make sure you use the correct gasket and that it seals up well otherwise coolant will leak inside and get sucked into the engine

thanks everybody for your help,I thought I was doing the right thing by putting in a aftermarket TB in,I guess not. So if I might have gotten coolant in the engine what should I do about that,I'm gonna put back the stock TB on,for sure

if you have it already, you should just keep it on, and get yourself a cobra intake from the junkyard of an explorer or mountaineer.

You could just not run the coolant lines to the spacer.. depends on if you are running egr or not. Im not running mine so just have the hose spots blocked off cause I was having the same problem, and now no troubles

But then it's a vacuum leak and potential problem later down the road.

Fix it right by sealing the TB correctly, not by just eliminating the coolant.
