Hit another stupid deer with the mustang! didnt even hit it that hard and it blew both air bags! gay!!!! knocked the shi*! out of me and tore up the pasenger side door! air bag literaly BENT the freakin door. Anyway insurance company totaled it because of the air bag deployment. Im buying it back as its completly drivable and the deer dammage is NOT that bad. but i am NOT i repeat NOT putting airbags back in the car so dont even think of giving me a speach about how important they are because they are not! i almost lost control and got killed because these stupid ass things plus the tore the absolute hell out of my car! I need to know how to remove the passenger side bag the stupid gay box that it comes out of is half sticking out of the dash and i cant figure out where/how you unbolt this thing?

I pulled the airbag in a 94 awhile back. If I remember correctly, I had to pull the glove box, then unbolt the airbag.

Insurance wants to give me $4430 800$ buyback. Is this fair? Should I try to get more $ for aftetmarket upgrades or should I take my money and b happy? It does have 260k on it... but its got new pi intake king cobra clutch. JLT Cai. Steeda cable and quadrant.short throw shifted. Motorsport short headers. Magnalflow x pipe. Flowmaster cutback.

Go to 94-95 tech section.
How to sticky at the top.
"How to paint dashboard".
Air bag removal steps inside.

I believe the insurance company proposed numbers are fair and I think you should buy it back.

if they are going to give you 4400 bucks after the buy back on a 96 mustang with 260k you would be stupid not to take it.

a 96 mustang gt on my local club sold recently for 2500 and it had 160k on it.

I scored a riverside airbags and passenger door at pull a part today. I managed to get the passenger side bag out. How can I trick it into thinking the pass airbag is still there? I noticed it has a 2 wire plug is it shorted when bag is blown?

If the car is totaled, how are you going to get a rebuild title without replacing the airbags? I would think that it would have to be repaired back to the safety requirements of the build year and then inspected by the State Police.

In July of 2007, my Dad's 97 F150 XLT V8 supercab got hit on the drivers side rear tire, broke the axle and shoved the bed over and blew both air bags. He had 160K on the truck and the insurance totaled the truck. He got full retail for the truck plus sales tax. It seems like he got like a little over $8000 and they wanted like $2500 for the buyback. We thought about buying it back but it was just too good of a deal to pass up and he went and put $8000 on a new 2007 F150 during a end of model year sale with a rebate. He paid like $25K for a 2007 F150 FX2 Supercab with a 5.4 V8 after rebate.

02 sonic is right when you go for inspection to re register the car to deem it salvage not having air bags is going to be an issue

You could buy a new engine with that money. Go for it. A real bummer it happened, but if you don't care about title issues you'll end with a great car and some extra $$$$

Once I get it back together I'm rebuilding the shortblock in my tbird. It's been down for a year and needs some work. Then I'm gonna do some stuff to the stang once I free up garage space.

i dont understand why you dont want to put this air bag in your better of just doing it right instead of waisting time messing with the system and possible shorting out the module as well as possibly the ecm
