Hi!. I'm new here to the forum. I feel so stupid asking this question but here it goes: How in the hell do you guys install your spark plugs?? I'm very mechanically inclined (I used to work at a performance shop so dont make fun off me :D ) I'm used to Honda's and such but damn that thing is so crowded, and I thought it was going to be a piece of cake, but I only got to put three in off the eight :bang: . Well my car is a 1996 Mustang GT 4.6L SOHC, do you guys take off the fuel rails or what? Thanx for your help.

be sure not to overtighten the plugs when reinstalling them. Our heads have shallow, soft threads, and will easily strip out = new head. Do not tighten them more than 1/8 turn w/ a ratchet after getting them finger tight, and use spark plug antiseize on the threads of them new plugs. The rest is easy ;)

Well I got my first problem. After buying the swivel spark plug socket, I've noticed that the spark plug wires were kinda cracked, because there so old, anyways as I try to pull them off them spark plug, I ended tearing the tube that reaches into the spark plug :bang: My car feels like ****, and idles like **** :nonono: gives a check engine light this sucks big balls. Anybody knows how much are spark plug wires??

I bought a set of 8 spark plugs and a set of plug wires from murrays auto store for like $100. The only spark plug that gave me a ton of trouble was cylinder number three, closest to the passenger side dash, that was a major pain, all you need is a swivel socket and a 10 inch extension, hope that helps.
