I need help with sportsline springs

i've had eibach sportsline springs installed a little over a week now, well today i went to my local dealership to get my steeda cc plates installed along with a 4 wheel alinement.after they looked at my car they said they could do the alinement without the cc plates. they ended up doing the alinement and i still have the cc plates in the box they came in.my question is this possible, everbody i've talked to in here says the cc plates were a must with sportslines.but i would think if a ford tech. said my car was alined then it must be.now i don't know what to do.keep the cc plates for a while to make sure or send them back and get my money back.

Never seen that happen. Did they tell you what specs that they actually set it at. If not I would find out? Keep the cc plates for awhile becuase you might need them.

Ditto -- I always thought the sportline drop was to much for the stock equip., thus having to buy c/c plates to replace. You may want to contact other dealerships and ask their guys if an alignment can be done on stock equip. after a 2" drop.

good luck :nice:

i just installed Sportline last week, and without C/C plate, aligment shop said noway it could have get it in to spec. May be your shop left alot of negative camber? Most people run with some -camber...

Although I do have MM CC plates installed I added them after my springs were on. And I had correct alignment on the drivers side and and was only out 1 of camber on the passeger side...so I think its completely possible to find a car that might not need the plates at all after the spring install.

In my opinoin you should run the plates anyway "just in case". The alignment shops will like you and they seem to be a litte more careful when they see those shinely plates.
