I Need Your Help!!!

Hey there guys. A few months back, I broke my rear axle, and while I was on the side of the road, facing traffic, some asswipe decided to smack the front end of my car... (This was about twenty minutes after standing outside.)

I've never changed out a bumper on a Mustang before, so is it difficult? I never checked to see if it had rivots or not. Anyway, I just bought a new matching bumper, and I'm going to pick it up Wednesday, and see if there's anything I can do, or if I have to bring it to a shop to get it put on.

Other than that, tons of problems have been popping up on my baby.

One of the oldest problems, is my odometer keeps breaking. This is the second time, and the first time when I pushed in the tripmeter reset button, it was hard, and ended up breaking one of the gears. Well, I got that fixed over a year ago, and now it's done it again, and I can't find any of the gears. Would it just be easier to get a gauge cluster and pry one out somehow? I've never messed with this stuff before.

Other than that, two airvents have broken so they don't move side to side, my ashtray broke on the right side. Although it still goes up and down, it's more troublesome than before, and the window/lock-unlock buttons broke off of the handle part on the door panel, and fell into the panel.

I'm trying to fix these problems. Is there any tips you guys have to help me out on my journey? Thanks for any help!

bumper is fairly easy to replace....mostly a few each of plastic rivets, push-pins and as said a couple bolts at the inside of the front fenders...not realy hard at all....biggest pain can be releasing the tabs that lock in under the headlight assy, 1 or 2 each side...
I'd say do it yourself unless your gonna have a body shop paint it any way..

Got my bumper, and it's a tad lighter than the one I have now... Guess I'll have to go get it painted. You guys have any estimates on how much it would cost?

Anyway, where would I start, to get it installed? Should I pop the hood, and remove the headlights and corners? Just kind of lost as to where I should start here... Thanks!

Those are easy to replace...I would get it right to your painter and get it done up..
It'll prolly take you less than an hour to remove the old one...Then take your new one and slap it on all finished...you dont wanna paint it on the car, or worse yet install it and have to remove it again...you can put flex cracks in it..

Hey man, what's up?

Well we put it on anyway, just for ****s and giggles I guess you could say. It looks better than the old one anyway, because it's not all scuffed and messed up, but the lighter color is easy to eye.

I'm going to look around for someone to paint it, and most likely it'll probably be cheaper to just take it off myself, and bring it to them, no?

Anyway, see ya!

Ya, it's hard to have a new part and just look at it.... :D

No doubt on taking and delivering it to the painter...Save yourself a few bucks for sure...Be careful putting it back on though...I had to flex my sides to get it over the bolts on the sides...unpainted no prob, once its painted it'll be a tad hairy...
All you need to do is throw it on stand to shoot it..

You know the black trim that's riveted onto the bottom of the V6/GT bumper? It's molded into yours...

Well how do I go about getting those for my new bumper? I didn't see any, ANYWHERE. It really doesn't look like I can just rip it off or anything, and reapply it somehow to my new bumper... I'm going to wait until I have it painted anyway, but I'd like to have them handy for when it's time. The car looks a bit odd without them. ;)
