I once read that one hp was equivalent to about 20 lbs...

i.e. that on the straight track, removing 100 lbs (other factors aside) was roughly the same as adding 5 hp. Is anyone familiar with this relationship that can confirm or deny???

I've heard that removing 100# is worth about 1/10th of a second in the 1/4 mile. All other things being equal. I've never heard the 20#=1hp but, you can figure out how much more hp is required to knock 1/10th off your et.

every 10hp or 100# in my XPERIENCE takes off a tenth in the quarter.
