So i was installing an alarm/remote starter today and I finally got the car to be started remotely. Then I shut it off then it attempts to start again but makes a horrible sound. Then there was no power to anything, so we checked the fuses and they are all good including the ones inside. Then we unplugged and replugged in the battery and we get power. The problem is I cannot start the car. I go to start it and it does on click like crank noise and shuts off all power. Maybe its a short?

check the starter wire, im assuming you had to cut this for the start kill portion of the alarm.

Yeah, the starter wire is back together. I removed the remote start portion of the car. Now when I attempt to start the car it does 1/2 crank i dont even know if its a crank and dies. Then cuts power to everything. Then we unplug and replug battery and we get power back. Maybe the battery got drained somehow?

the battery could have drained during the install, i assume it took a few hours and your domelight may have been on. Check your battery first and if thats not it, recheck your wire connections. Did you use a volt meter to check the column wires
