What is the best thing i can get for my car for 600 dollars,i cant decide on what to get. I have a 94 gt 5 speed with cold air, pulleys, 3.55gears, off road h, flowmasters, hurst shifter. i thought about equal length shorties and a track heat intake. and i will also advance my timing. How much gain should i see from these three things.

headers, underdrive pulleys, and a TB if you can fit that in for under $600 imo.

Forget the equal length shortys.

I'd tell you regular shortys or better yet LT's

I do see you already have a mid pipe

AND

I'd still tell you to go LT's

You can always sell that pipe or have it modified to work with the LT's

Why not just get an intake on there for the time being

why regular shorties. i thought equal lengths gave more gains. Id rather keep the h pipe. if anyone knows where a 94/95 cobra intake is. let me know. i need some more power, im a half a car behind a friend of mine in a 95 z and its killing me.

because equal lenth are more expencive and a pain to install if ur gonna go thru that might as well go to long tubes. The HP gain diffrence over shorytys and equallenth shortys is minimal mabye like 2hp tops.

If you don't want to get nitrous, you could get an intake, should give you a good sotp gain. I think any long runner intake would be good, cobra, explorer, ect..

I think intakes are really only worth it once you get heads and a cam, then you can get them to work well all together rather then down the road when you add heads finding out the intake is hurting your performance.

Its true, an intake would give more gain with heads & cam.

however

An intake on a stock 5.0 is a very good first motor mod.

It will give a gain you will feel for sure.

IMHO ... More so than stuff like:

tb
cai
rr's
maf
pulleys
and the like

Most don't do it that way cause the stuff above is:
1) cheaper by the individual part
2) easier to put on

It would seem to me that the Track Heat might be a bit much for this application.

but

If the long term plan is 300rwhp or better

then

that just might be a wise choice
