Sorry for so many threads recently guys, just alot of stuff goin down...

I mounted the magnapacks and expected them to be loud. Not even close. They are much quieter than my flow 40's were. I'm dissapointed with the volume level. Do these things get alot louder after a break in of a few hunderd miles or something? I know my pro chamber will quiet exhaust down somewhat but from all the threads I read about how loud these things were I don't know where they get that from.

As far as tone I'm blown away. I've been such a die hard chambered muffler guy. I'm so happppyy I decided to go out on a limb with these. Anyone considering the same should definately take the plunge and give a straight through muffler a try.

They are truly awesome, just hopefully they get a little louder, or they may need to be replaced.

I just installed the Magnaflow Magnapacks on my 04 GT and they are much louder than my flowmaster's were. Then again, I also went with a set of BBK headers. I think it will get louder when I add my off-road X-pipe. I love the sound and have no issues.

My Packs were loud as hell from the minute they were installed. Maybe your losing your hearing. People tell me all the time they can hear me coming from blocks away, and I'm not even getting on it.

My friends have told me that my car is the loudest muffled and catted car they have ever heard. When I took a test drive after putting on the 'Packs, I was worried I would get nasty letters the next day for waking up the neighborhood.

With that being said, they did get a little bit louder after they broke in, so if they're not loud enough for you at first, give it a few days / weeks. Also, they're not that loud at idle, so if that's what you were hoping for, I don't think they're going to fit the bill. I prefer it that way, myself, as I can at least attempt to sneak around and "blend in" when necessary.

That's weird. Maybe the Prochamber is really quietening them down, but all the cars I've heard with the Magnapacks on them were LOUD.

There was a guy at my apartment complex last year with an offroad H pipe and Magnapacks, and then I have the offroad Prochamber with Flowmaster 40s. At idle, my car was louder, but when we got on it, his was WAY louder than mine.

With all you guys posting this up it feels really strange that not that much sound would be coming from these things. I know the flows droned and maybe that added to sound inside the car but.......no way on the planet could people hear me coming from blocks away. Maybe a block away....screaming at redline.

I can't think of any reason why these would be so quiet except for the pro chamber. I even just double checked the part number....It is the right magnapack part number.

I guess it's hard to give an idea of how loud it is over the net but I guess the easiest way to put it is I could carry out a cell phone conversation at full throttle inside the car. Cruising at 60 with the flows would be difficult.

The exhaust sounds really really tight..if that makes sense, just not loud.

I'll take a vid and post up tomorrow. Any of you guys have vids?

I have the Magnaflow regular Catback. It got steadily louder over time. Everyone tells me they can hear me a mile away. The Packs should be loud as hell

Unfortunately, no. My friend took a bunch of videos of me at the drag strip when I was running 12.2s, but unfortunately he lost the tape. When I get my new build finished, I'll be sure to post videos, though. I'm running Bassani mid-length headers, a Bassani catted X pipe, and Magnapacks.

I have packs with o/r prochamber and Mac LT's and its loud as hell. Not so much at idle but still noticeable and screams at wot. You must have something wrong if you think its not that loud. Mine sound awesome by the way and am glad I went with them.

That video was cool....car sounds nice.

I think maybe they just need to break in. I don't drive this car very much so maybe it will take a little time. But the sound quality soooo nice I don't mind waiting.

I'm still going to take a video in a few hours and post up....

VIDEO......sound is kinda off in the walk around but all the driveby's sound pretty good. You'll need to turn up the volume though. Look at the video of my vette. I was expecting loud like that when people say "you can hear me coming". I took that vette vid with the exact same camera. MAJOR difference.

After about 5 minutes at first start-up it's loud until the RPM's drop from 1,000 to 750, then it's fairly quiet, and then around 55-65 it's fairly quiet too if your just casually driving. All other areas, it's loud.
