WOW! $700 for a complete Roush body kit? Why is everything there so damn cheap? Something seems fishy

What is the difference between what you all are talking about and this other kit from roush:

Supercharger Kit, Roush, Man
Item: SM01-8K446-RM
Price: $8,283.63

That's what I wanted to know, so I emailed them. Apparently this kit is only the blower and lower manifold. The rest of the kit consists of new alternator, computer, and complete fuel system. They said they could get the complete 380hp set up for 7,999.00. Still waaaaaaay out of my price range. How can Jack Roush justify selling his supercharger kit for such an outrageous price, when you can get the KB which seems to be a better blower and makes more power for about $2,000.00 less?

Don't you think it would be possible to purchase the rest of the stuff for less than $6000.

What else would you need to buy in addition to the supercharger and intake?
fuel injectors, fuel pump, chip?????????????
would it be worth it? or would it be better to just buy something like a complete vortech kit?

I dunno where the extra cost of the kit comes in. But bottom line, that's a pile of money to spend to only make 380rwhp.

And what about the intake does it take different throttle bodies and do I have to get a new intake. And does any body have some pics of it installed on a car or just any pics of it.

Probably more like 140 more unless you have something that isn't listed in your sig. If you can get the extra parts at a reasonable cost, I would jump all over this kit.

Um, unless they dropped their price 3-grand in the last day, the cost of the parts needed in the kit is 8-grand, not 5-grand. According to Roush, you need their custom alternator and bracketry to work with the kit, and I'm pretty sure you need fuel rails with it to. I'd skip it. You could run a 9psi KB that makes 400+ to the wheels for about 2-grand less.
