I took Possesion of my new ride, a 2006 GT Premium with the majority of the Cervini C Series Body Kit, a FMR Full Suspension Setup, AirRaid Intake Setup, Magna Flow Side Exhaust, and a Hurst Short Throw Shifter.

Got the Keys yesterday, so I don't have any pictures other than the for-sale listing images...which aren't too bad. More later, perhaps.

Thought I should pop my head in here and introduce myself. I'm sure I'm going to troll around in here a bit more than before, other than my usually Banana Hammock roost......

Yeah, I know. I've been begrudgedly brought to the present. I love my 2000 GT, and still have it, but its getting a little long in the tooth with 100K miles on it and a clunky suspension.

That said, looks and sound aside, the things I'm loving about the new ride the most are the simple little things....Like the stereo staying on until the door is opened, better supportive seats, and having an "Increase speed" button for the cruise control!!!!!

Congrats on the purchase! Does it have a tune as well or is it a stand-alone CAI?

Honest answer?

I would assume not. Got all the paperwork for the work done, I'll have to look through it to see if it has any mention of a tune. AFAIK, its a stand-alone bolt on CAI setup. pretty much inline with the air setup that the Shelby GT's have in them

Would a tune be overly benificial?

A tune would noticeably improve the performance of the car, or so I've heard many times. Some tunes can increase the power a good 30 HP. However loading a tune on the car while it still has a warranty can potentially void it if the shop you bring it to is a jerk. I haven't tuned my car yet for this very reason.

Very nice looking for your jump into the S197 world
The previous owner adding most of the Cervini kit, but leaving the pedestal spoiler seems odd to me. Also I'm not fond of the double "GT" on the fender, but that isn't that big of a deal and easy to change later I'd say that if it has a CAI it has been tuned unless it is a K&N CAI which doesn't require a retune. Then again, if it is tuned and you didn't get the tuner with the car, that's pretty much a waste. A tuner is even beneficial on a nearly stock car as it definitely improves driveability(bye bye throttle lag!)and adds a very decent amount of power for the money. It also allows for changing the settings for different rear gears, tire size changes, rev limits, speed governors and more.
