iac difference?

i bought a replacement idle air control valve for my 2000 gt at advance auto parts the one i got from store does not have the hose attatchment that goes from my old one into the tube on my cai, do i need this connection or can i just put it on and plug the cai where the hose goes into,

you need to take that part back to the part-store and GO TO A Ford Dealer and get the right one, part # F8VZ-9F715-AB and gasket E83Z-9F670-A.

dont waste your time wth that aftermarket crap

i get mine from NAPA...theyre practically the same thing..they just shave fords part number off..theyre work excellently

far from the truth, there is nothing like oem. but whatever works for you, fine. Im not going toget into a pissing match over it, but the aftermarket parts DO NOT perform like the OEM parts

also of note, change your PCV valve as thats the most likley cause of IAC problems and again, buy a Ford PCV valve NOT aftermarket
