If all you're concerned with is whether a 302 block is a roller or not...
Engineering number that starts with E5 or 'higher', i.e. E6, E7, F1, F4, etc. is a roller.
Engineering number that starts with E0, E1, E2, E3, or E4 is NOT a roller.
Engineering number that starts with D or C is NOT a roller.
For 351W block...
Engineering number that starts with F4 or 'higher' is a roller.
Engineering number that starts with F3 or 'lower' is NOT a roller.
If you want to know what make, model, and exact year (engineering number is not the model year) the block is out of I need the partial VIN stamped on the block.
