I have everything in sig. and ran a best ET of 14.137 at 108mph. 60 ft was a crappy 2.354. I must point out that I am using a stock clutch with 118+ thousand miles on it and Kumho Ecsta 711 street radials. My buddies Cobra was running 13.1's at 110mph with 2.1 60' times on Eagle F1's. The Miles per hour are there but The ET's are not. Could this be the stock clutch is not up to the task or a combination of that and the lame tires. I just wanted to see what it would do and although I expected my crappy driving skills to play a part figured it would run quicker and alittle faster. My buddies cobra made 413rwhp and torque was 390 or something. Just looking for some ideas. This was my first ever trip to the 1\4 mile so any input would be appreciated

your mile an hour is there which is the good news. your engine is running good. with a 2.0 sixty foot your times would be good for a mid 13 and with some stickies a low 13. yes your clutch needs to be upgraded but it also may be saving your tranny. oooh wait you got a blower too. then no you mile an hour isnt there lol. you should do that with no blower....

@ 108 mph you are a bonefide 12 second car with some traction....no doubt. I don't think you have it dialed in because we have similar combo's and I run mid 12's on radials....I also make 11-12lbs of boost but thats another thread. Anyway with your mods you should be running well into the 13's on radials without the blower! 118,000 isn't a whole lot of miles for your engine either......

I agree 118,000 on the motor is not bad however I am still running the clutch ford put in the car and I am not sure what that clutch was even rated at. It drives fine around town but could it be slipping that bad or just not holding the power very well through out the rpms

Suggest if you think the clutch is tired that you change it before it dies. You should be able to pull some 1.9 or better sixty foots out of the car easily. Next up would be some stickier tires. And practice, practice. Add some drive it like a rental, and you should see some improvement.

I run 12.50's with that MPH. You need some tires for sure and some suspension wouldn't hurt either. With good tires your clutch will probably give up the ghost pretty quickly. Upgrade both the clutch and tires to get the most of all that money you spent on the motor.

....I didn't think anything of it before but Daniel5.0 made a good point. Without changing a thing you have .5 or .6 sitting on the table already. You should be able to get your 60ft's down closer to 2.0, even on the worst set of tires ever made. You need to practice a bit.

Well id say that 99% of your problem is your tires...you have way too much horsepower according to your sig for those tires to hook up properly...id get yourself a spare set of rims with some slicks on em...you should be in the low 13's definately...

On slicks if low 13's are all that car can run he may as well drive it off a bridge. With 393rwhp @ 3400 lbs (with him in it) that car is mid to low 11 second capable. If his MPH is already 108, which translates well into the 12's with traction, his MPH would likely increase on slicks as well. Making that 393hp work is another story altogether but he' s undoubtedly already a mid 12 second car, or less, with traction.
