ok i'm finally ready to run it for timeslips.

first few runs will be 4 psi. a little tuning then 6psi. gotta get an idea where i'm going from there.

with 2.73's and street tires i still expect decent times. just cant power brake it off the line.

i expect 2.1 60' times. the fact is this motor runs like any other b head motor. very little low end then it never stops building power.

i have it programmed to shift at 6200. i'll up it to 6500 after a few runs. the boost is at full by 2500. but b heads still dont do well. the few street 'things' ive done put it about even with a late model GT until i get to 5000. then things pick up a bit.

ill tune it as i go. i have it tuned VERY rich right now, right on th verge of missing rich. im going to pull fuel in .5 a/f per run. get it close to max hp and add a little.
then add a couple of degrees timing mid and up top.

4 psi should be 400hp based on VE and compressor map caculations.
6 psi should be 440ish hp

my turbo inlet is needing to be changed to the 4" stuff i have but im waiting.
it will cost me a little power.

at 6psi:

60 Foot 1.63 ...................:2.13
330 Foot 4.70..................:5.20
660 Foot 7.39..................:7.89
660 MPH 92.....................:the same
1000 Foot 9.72
1/4 Mile ET 11.71
1/4 Mile MPH 113.16

those are ideal. but with 2.73 take maybe . 5 out of it.

im changing gears after i figure gas milage. i used 5.35 gallons to travel 160miles.

i need to keep as much of that as possible. we'll see how close i get to the 'ideal' numbers. honestly 8.2 with 2.73's would satisfy me at 6 psi.

well fellas i have always reported good and bad
this time its bad.
i decided to trash the tune ive been using on the street and start will a really conservative a/f ratio. and 6500 rpm shifting. well ir was conservative alright. the car loked like a diesel the first run. i never got a second run because bikes oiled the track and the very next run a bike lost coolant and he wrecked bad into the other wall. so i left without trrying tune 2.

run 1:
60' 2.545
1/8th 9.8910
mph 80.12

so i managed to tune it to about 275hp and 100 lb-ft of torque.

tune 2 was 1.6 a/f point leaner and i added 2 degrees more timing.it feel night and day. ill have to wait to next week to try again. obviously tune 1 is in the garbage. hey at least i started in one direction and can slowly move to the best et/mph before dyno runs.

i really should have used the daily tune, but changed my mind in the staging lanes to the super duper rich tune.

really it made about 100 crank ft-lbs and 275 hp. hey only me.

no its not a 4 cyl. it just makes the power of a 4 cyl. hahahahahahahahaha

hey. so anyway the tune i flashed then backed off on really runs better.

i have the injectors set for 27lbs 50% rich @ WOT. i am still going to go slowly tuning. revving to 6500 is cool though.
