So today I went to the junkyard and got a maf off a 3.8 mustang. I don't know what year it was but the part number matched the one on the list of mafs that are usable for our cars. I grinded the mounting holes down so that I could put the filter over it and the car runs fine. The only issue is it idles at almost 1000 rpms now and if I turn my e-fan on it will idle closer to 900 rpms. Before the swap it idled close to 600. it would vary between 500 and 750 sometimes and not be affected by turning the fan on. Do you think that because there is more air available the cars idle just needs to be adjusted or do yall think there could be a problem with the maf?
