Fresh to the forum, but have lurked on and off for a while...

Have a 2002 GT, and put a 01/02 cobra engine in it about 1000 miles ago. No supercharger on it, but it is forged, high flow offroad x-pipe, and custom tune from local shop on SCT programmer. I had a friend of a friend do the swap, and now he has disappeared...

Hopefully my attachment will post as well. It is a 2002 cobra engine, and I have outlined my two problem areas. If/When I get the terminology incorrect, please bear with me, as I am learning. First area is the PCV valve on the passenger side of the engine. I do not have the tube leading from the inlet tube to the crankcase. The opening at the tube is capped off, but the opening on the crankcase is open with a baffle inside it. Second area is the same crankcase opening but on the driver side. It looks like I do not have an EGR as well, as this opening is, well, open..

To be honest, I am not sure what I should do. I am to the point where I think I have too much information and am paralyzed but what I have found. This car is an occasional daily driver, and maybe one day, an occasional track car. But I simply dont know where to go form here. I have read about crankcase filters/breathers, but not sure what I will need.

Thanks in advance!

Chris

It sounds like you may have a vacuum leak. The best this to start with is to go through what you can see is there/not there and slowly eliminate areas. The EGR and PCV are have vacuum related issues on many cars I have worked on. I would start by grabbing a shop manual and looking through all the vacuum line routing to make sure it is correct and everything is properly plugged into the right ports.
