Basically, my bone stock and i mean STOCK mustang wants to move forward when in drive and my foot on the brake. It also seems to have an stumble at idle, although the rpm's dont drop on the tach.

Has anyone had experience with a car that wants to move forward in gear and your foot on the brake?

Is there a chance of a vac leak? This can cause a higher idle (more oomph for the car to try and roll forward), less assist for the brake booster (requiring more pedal effort from you) and a stumble.

Good luck.

You guys with idle problems could same a lot of time chasing your tails if you would go through the Surging Idle Checklist. Over 50 different people contributed information to it. The first post has all the fixes, and steps through the how to find and fix you idle problems without spending a lot of time and money. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions. You can post questions to that sticky and have your name and idle problem recognized. The guys with original problems and fixes get their posts added to the main fix.

I did look at the surging check list, but i was not sure if what i was experiencing was in fact surging.

Hissing: That is my problem exactly! But what i did was i went through most of the vac lines and didnt see anything that stood out as a clear cut problem child. I suppose surging idle check list will help with that.. is that correct?
