idle probs

My6 mods are below. I set my idle and its good for a while. then it get all stupid and jumps up from 900r,s to 1200. then the next time I start it , it may be fine. I wish the damn thing would just stay at a constint idle insted of being all over the board at times.. new motor too.

Here's a list of things to check...
1. Vacuum lines (possible leak/line not attached)
2. Clean IAB
3. Check TPS- KOEO, voltage should be .9-.99
4. Make sure the screw on the throttle bodie is adjusted right.

also note that if you try to manually adjust the idle up (or it is not set right, as Blandnuts referred to), the puter will still try to get it back down to baseline, which can create some strange things (idle hunt, etc).

I suggest the throttle body because it's new and I know they don't come adjusted . See ya on the next post
