Idle range with a auto

I just bought my first mustang so I'm new to the normal things of a Mustang. My question is I have a 2002 GT automatic with Flowmasters with about 37000 miles on it and the idle with the Air Conditioner on is about 600 RPMs it really feels low, is that the norm for the car? I have removed the Idle air bypass valve and cleaned it along with the throttle body, changed the fuel filter and put a set of Motorcraft plugs in, CAREFULLY not to strip the threads.

Thanks you for help in advance,
Ram

when the car is idling in eithier park or neutral it should be around 750 but its an undisclosed number with a load like A/C it should drop a bit....

now when in gear either reverse or drive it should drop too 500-600 also undisclosed number and with a load wont change as much but can be felt when the compressor kicks in

Stock my '98 idle in drive was 565 rpm and 654 rpm in park. With slightly heftier cams, I had to increase idle speed to 600 and 730 rpm in drive and neutral/park, respectively.

If you don't like your idle speed, you can buy a handheld tuner and adjust the speed to where you want it. If you are not having battery charging problems or intermittent stalling then there is not much need to change idle speed.
