Idler Pulley

Is it common for these to go bad on a 5.0? Mine is making an aweful noise. Is this bad, should i replace it? Where can i get a new one and how much?

The bearing goes after a while. You can get them at most auto parts stores for around 25 bucks.

Yea, I had to replace mine a few years ago. I went with an aluminum one. It was in 1999 so I don't remember where I got it... but know that they're out there. It cost me about $65.
