OK I did a search but found nothing. I put Valve covers and a 1/2 inch spacer on my car this weekend now the car idles high in park or neutral about 1700rpm's and 1000 rpms in drive. Is there an easy way to fix this. I dont have a voltometer so that is out of the question i know its probabbly easy but i just cant figure it out  The car is an 87 speed density all stock AOD.

Why did you do that?

Did you torque the intake to specs with a torque wrench?

Check for a vacuum leak. Use a vacuum guage, it will come with instructions. 18-21 in. hg. is what you should read at idle on a stock engine. Otherwise you are looking for what is normal for that motor.

Re-check your work first, you know it is something that you messed with. did you label stuff first? Replace any vacuum lines?

I found the problem i over looked the hose that goes from the back of the lower intake to the upper. I think its the pcv valve. Any way that fixed the problem. It always sucks when you forget something that you know you have to put back on then forget it exists. Any who thanks for the help..
