Okay, so I just completed my intake swap as you all know. I don't know if this is related or not but a diagnosis would be appreciated. Since about yesterday the car will start up just fine and then when I shift to drive it'll die. Shift to neutral, start her up, shift to drive, bam dead. This'll happen 3-4 times and then it'll stay going. There is also a smell almost of burning, or maybe rich fuel??? In the drivers seat heat can be felt coming from the floor somewhere, it gets rather warm sitting there. I have pulled the engine codes and I get something for the thermactor air system or something which I understand to be the emissions system at start up...so is this the problem or something else? I have also thought maybe it is a timing issue and maybe the heat is just my imagination? Any help is appreciated.
