ignition switch

I have found the source to my electrical problems. The ignition switch is where the problem lies. If you start the car and bump the switch or hit a hard bump the switch will move a fraction of an inch and then not make electrical contact and I loose power. Do I need to replace the lock cylinder or the electrical poriton of the switch?

The switches were a recall item for some years.

Since you're noting that bumping the ignition switch (not the lock cylinder) makes it cut out, the switch seems likely.
Did I misunderstand you?

Good luck.

very easy to replace as well the new one comes with torx bolts or snap-off bolts the old one is tamperproof torx so you gotta by a new socket or use needle nose pliers squeeze real tight and they will come out.
