some of you probably remember my car from a few years ago;

im picking up another fox tomorrow after a few years away from one. i think i got a pretty good deal on it..

89 lx 5.0
all power/leather
saleen replica car. has full body kit, dash emblems, decals, speedo, ect.
5-lug and 4 wheel disk done with working e-brake
cobra wheels with new bfg kdw tires
trickflow heads/intake
crane rockers, 80mm maf, 70mm tb
24 lb injectors, full exhaust, msd ignition, blah blah.
wc t5, alpine/infinity system, aluminum ds, 3:73s.
optima battery, u/l ca's, lowered, subframes.

problem is it needs some assembly. guy sold it to a friend who couldnt afford it after he started work on it. so the interior needs put back in place behind the seats and the heater core project needs finished. then with the engine, it needs the intake up re-installed. getting it for $3300.

going to get it running and see if the bottom end is good. going to throw hell at it for awhile until i get bored then new shortblock/blower will come.

mac16, yeah. i got in contact with him over a year ago, the car was rear-ended and totalled..

i asked him for pics, and didnt get anything in return. that was in april of 08' i believe.

What's the deal with the fuel filter comment on the Termie (in your sig)? Do we not wanna' know?

The fox sounds like it'll be a fun little project and should come together pretty quick.

i changed my fuel filter in my 03' cobra when i had it. immidiately after, i developed a serious lean issue. barely able to run on its own, no more boost or it cut out HARD.

went through data logging with the predator, replaced pumps, filter, fuel pump driver module, everything i/we/mechanics/my tuner could think of. nothing cured it, so after spending almost 3 grand trying to fix it, i had to trade it in..

its been gone almost 3 years now. at the time, i made posts on every tech/terminator related forum. ive had probably 10 people contact me saying what did you find for a resolution? mine did this too. i havent went back to see if anyone has found the issue or what it was.

so yea. whenever i get my second one, im not touching the filter haha.

got the car home tonight. the front saleen bumper got destroyed trying to push it up onto the trailer. front/rear bumper need painted now.

going to hit the interior/engine hard this week and try to drive it this weekend or sooner.

try and get the top end on and get it running, then put the interior back.

thanks, its a 10-foot paint job right now. its dirty as hell and like i said the bumpers need painted, its got some dents on the roof i wanna get taken care of, and im going to get a small cowl for it.

definately got a good foundation now. just waiting to get it driving (hopefully it runs), then pending the drivetrain, alot more power or some freshening/more power anyway

its not s/c'd yet. probably going to go with a small blower within a month knowing me.

spent all day wednesday putting the topend together, new starter, cleaning, arranging, ect. got to the starter and found the flywheel had broken teeth, so it needed replaced asap.

tonight we put in a new king cobra clutch, pilot, rear main, tob, flywheel, march tensioner/ac eliminator kit. i also had nasty exhaust leaks from the old header gaskets, fixed that.

car is now running pretty strong hopefully. had good compression, no smoke, tomorrow i put in a serpentine belt and go drive it.

gotta give props to member; mustang78 off here. he came and helped me both long nights, couldn't have done this without his help.
