What type of VC gaskets you gettin? My 93 has the stock ones that are reuseable. They have a metal core with rubber on it. They are probably the best gaskets out there. I have pulled the VCs on my 93 so many times I can't count and still on the stockers.

I got a set of them for my 88 from a buddy of mine as well.

I'm board out of my mind too, and today was my last day at my job. I have a new one making 3 times more $ starting Monday. Oh and I'm probably going to hook up with a hottie at a party tomorrow, so at least I have that to look forward to.

How the heck did your rockers come loose? I have the same kit and havent experienced anything like that at all. I have however pulled the valve covers off several times, and actually used the corks and put them back on without a problem. If you dont overtighten them unless they are cracked you really shouldnt face any problems.

well the problem with the corks i put RTV on them by accident so they are pretty shot now. I dunno how the rocker came out of adjustment, I rev the thing pretty high though usually right up to the rev limiter.

That still shouldnt have let go though. Those rockers are some very high quality pieces that should handle revs that are higher then the limiter if you had good valve springs and eliminated it. Thats interesting. What happened, you drove the car hard and heard a loud noise when it let go and hit the cover? I've actually never experienced anything like that. ever.

no no no, it didnt come OFF, it just went out of adjustment, its a little too loose now so its clapping. No big deal maybe I didnt tighten the allan key thing down tight enough or something.

yeah with corks you wanna jus put them on the covers, snug the bolts up so they are jus tight enough and call it a day. No rtv or any sealants needed. Mine have been reused and jus barely sweat a lil. when they get replaced im going to the stock reusables.

It claps to the point where it sounds like REAL bad? THey are gonna clap a lil, **** you can definitely hear mine and thats with them adjusted exactly how the instructions read. No problems.
