i called a local powder coating shop(happens to be next to a hvac shop that we sub-contract under) and its gonna cost me $50 to powder coat my upper intake gloss black, except for my cobra lettering, the snake, and the outline.....if i want to have the intake all the way done they said $35, but since i want the detail to stick out and be different it'll cost alittle more....

I had my exploder upper powdercoated silver metalic and it looks great...I smoothed it out alot before coating though and it looks like glass.

I am not a fan of black intakes, it seems to take away from the details of the intake...kinda looks like a black glob to me.

either way its your car and powdercoat is cool and that is a GOOD price...my upper was like 50$.
