What brand of car polish/wax should I buy? Has to be something that lasts a while and is very easy to apply and remove. Thanks.

I use Eagle One Nanowax spray. Wash your good, then spray and wipe. It works wonders, and lasts a fair amount of time. Nothing lasts forever though. I found the shine to be as good as everything else I've tried, short of full on all day sweat and work waxing. I used to spend a whole day using tools, and had a wagon full of stuff. What is the point? That Nano stuff is the bomb. I've had people ask me how many hours it took to shine my car, and say I 30 minutes.

Poorboy's Natty's Blue paste wax. It's the absolute best. Especially on darker colors. Lighter colors look good with Meguiar's NXT.

i always use NXT with a low speed orbital & it does wonders (with a clay bar every other time). i know i could go with several other options & make it look even better, but it does a good job & it's pretty quick as well

A coat of NXT and then a coat of Gold Class everyone says they cant belive how much depth my car has for being yellow.

These guys are getting in depth. That's too much for those OF&L guys. That is a lot of wax on, wax off. I like the syn's cause they can be applied in the sun, and in different temps.

Klass AIO (All In One) polish. Very easy to use....wipe on/wipe off, no need to let dry.
Follow up with Klasse Sealant Glaze, again wipe on/wipe off to seal the polish.
I use the mothers California gold liquid wax when I'm feeling lazy. The problem is, is that you should really apply the pre-cleaner and the glazer before hand for best results. When I want to ensure a good application, I go with the pure carnuba paste wax. Which isn't exactly all that easy to get off. Especially if you leave it on too long.
So....that being said, ignore everything I just typed and head on over to your local spray and scrub type, do-it-yourself place and just rinse your car with that cheater wax they've got after washing it. It lasts for a few days.

The biggest enemy of wax is the sun...just think about the term wax. The sun melts it after a few days. That said I've had good results from Nu-Finish polish. Seems to last longer than most cheaper polishes. The other best thing is a garage or car cover.

how high would you rate it based on its advertisements? would it look better with an orbital buffer?
You should look at Zaino Clear seal. It's new on the market and supposed to last 9 months with just one coat. You just apply it and then walk away, there is no waiting for it to haze and then removing it. It's expensive but you use so little that the bottle will last forever. It's also so easy to apply you can do throw a coat on every couple of months for extra durability.

I had similar results with ICE. Looked great, didn't take much time/effort to apply
ive had good results with the zymol, after you rub it in you just spritz the area with water or their spray detailer and it shines up really good. when you want to re-activate the wax you just use their spray detailer on the car and it shines like new again. however this weekend i used a wax called meller yeller and its was sold locally here until the guy that made it died and now you cant get it anymore. sucks because its good stuff. atleast he sold it in 1liter bottles.
You don't need an orbital to apply it....that would be a waste of money. You only need an orbital IMO if you need to remove scratches with some type of polishing product.
I would not hestitate to recommend the Klasse to anyone. It lasts long, is easy to apply, removes oxidation if you have, lasts long in terms of how many applications per bottle, and is affordable.
