I'm stumped

I thought my battery was dead because I haven't driven my car in two weeks and the alarm was on the whole time. The starter barely spun and that the battery clicked, so I jumped it off and idled it for about 10 minutes. I decided to take a little cruise to clear the cobwebs and the it bucked a little like it was missing. I decided to turn around and go back home and check some plug wires (I have had problems with burnt wires on my equal length shortys) and my cap. I shut off the car and now it won't do anything. The battery is fully charged but the starter will not even engage. I had a high performance mini-starter installed last year and it has worked fine since. I just don't what else to check. I hope some one here can give me some other things to check before I spring for a tow to my shop

thanks in advance

How do you know the battery is fully charged?
What is the static voltage reading across the battery terminals?

Go over your battery and PDC connections, and the engine grounds.

Good luck.

battery could have only had a surface charge or a cell died. sometimes a battery checker will show a battery good when its got a dead cell, it happened to me once, damn walmart batteries. they said it was good but it wouldnt crank a vibrating toothbrush. get a digital volt meter and check voltage across the terminals, make sure they are tight. anything less than 9.6v and it will not crank, most of the time if its below 10.5 it has a hard time. charge it on a low setting and let it do its thing. check battery voltage across the terminals with the car on to see if the alternator is working. should see 13.8-14.6 i believe it is.

the reason I thought the battery was charged is that after the car wouldn't start I still had to put up the top and windows. The top came up fast and smooth and all four windows the same way. I try to start the car and there is nothing....no sound and the radio, dash lights and interior lights are on and strong. I also tried to jump start it again with my truck and the same thing, .......nothing

I'll check the terminals and grounds this afternoon

Thanks

Ok, so if you have power to accessories but it does absolutely nothing while cranking, I'd check the starter interlock circuit. You can check it at the clutch safety switch/neutral safety switch or at the underhood starter relay. Checking I/O voltage at either location gives you a direction to go.

Good luck.
