HUH ? its EIGHT FREEKIN BOLTS for the intake and 4 for the fuel rails plus unpluging some wireing then you just swap the gaskets and reasemble and it took me aprox 20 minits to do mine if you think thats a "amount of work" i just dunno what to say
as for gains sure naturaly aspirated its only worth about 8 horses at the wheels but thats aprox 12-15 at the motor and the gains only get higher if you add nitrous or cams heads etc later on.
so if you plan on doing much to your car besides the simple cold air pulleys and exhuast they are definatly worth it.
Did you get a tune after the install? Last months 5.0 has a write up on the install and says you need a tune with them, I was thinking about a set myself.
Forget about the supposed horsepower numbers, the real test is on the drag strip and many people would not waste their time and money to do it again if they could. They dont do a thing for full throttle evironments.

I had the IMCO axle back on my car. The have two versions. I got the short ones. They were way too loud with my bassani x-pipe and had a horrible interior drone on the highway so I took them off and put my stock mufflers back on. They are now sitting in the shed collecting dust.
