Had my car in for repair last year because of engine fire. Theese parts where changed:

Unilite ignition
Edelbrock 500 4bbl carb
new K&N filter
Taylor wires
All electrical parts (wiring harness etc.)

Today I drove 100 miles approx at 60-70 mph all the way. I often take this route w. my stang. However, I measured that gas consumption was approx 30% higher than before.

can anyone give me a check list ??

My guess is that it is timing related. Is your vacuum advance working? Is the base timing the same? How did you check mileage?
