I just bought my first Mustang, Its a 1988 LX (Hatch) Auto with OD
And I am giving it a complete tune-up and all the fluids changed.

1. what's the Best Spark plugs to use

2. What Kind of tranny oil is used?

3. Diff oil?

4. And Coolant

autolite 25's(plugs)
Amsoil, Mobil 1, Redline, or Royal Purple(tranny fluid)5.6 pints.
Motorcraft 75W-140synth and 4oz of FRPP friction modifier.(diff. oil) 3.75 pints.
peak or prestone mixed 70% water and 30% antifreeze.(1 gallon).

Welcome!

I agree with my buddy Bill except for a nit-pick

In stock form, the spec'd differential oil is in the neightborhood of 89W-90. In later 8.8's, the fluid-viscosity he mentioned was indeed used, but AFAIK, the lesser-weight stuff is still in vogue with the fox III guys. That said, ahem, I do run the thicker oil. BUT I probably would not in a colder climate (I live in the desert).

And I still recommend 50/50 water/antifreeze mixes, especially since it's coming up on winter and we don't know that you dont live in Alaska.

I Live 1 Hr north of Toronto Canada and winter if for sure on it's way

if the transmission is shifting and you got OD i wouldnt touch it

How many miles does the tranmission have on it? A lot of tranny techs don't recommend changing the transmission fluid if it has not be maintained on a regular basis.
