I recently picked up a 95 GT, really nice little car it has quite a few mods.
I drove it to the store over the weekend and when I got there I could not get the key out of the ingnition. The wheel won't lock so the key lock button won't work and I can't get the key out I have tried searching the forums but I have not been able to find a threads on this.

has any one had thei problem and what's the fix

Thanks

It is out of alignment. You have to take the bottom off of the column and use the unlock for the ignition to rotate it to the right place. Takes a little time and getting everything set back right. It happens alot to our cars because of the age. Might also need to have it replaced like mentioned above.

I had to replace mine as well. Crazy thing would let me pull the key out while driving.... had a guy start my car once without a key while he was playing around.... not kewl.

I think it was under $20 if I remember right... got mine at OhReally's or AutoZone. You might see if you can go through their stock as you can match up the key you already have... kinda sad but there really aren't that many different keys for our cars. I have keyless entry added to mine so I don't mind the column not matching the door.
