Hello,

I recently inherited a project 66 coupe from someone who just didnt have the time to work on it. The car is in decent shape right now it has pretty much everything off the body I was thinking of getting it media blasted. the problem is I have no idea where anything goes when the time goes to start rebuilding this bad boy.

Does any one have any good links to blogs/articles or reference sites that would help me in this project. I saw quite a few books on ebay is there any you guys recommend as must haves?

Also this is my first project so any general project tips are also appreciated.

Cliffnotes: Received a 66 coupe project I don't know how to rebuild looking for any links/tips info that would help

Thanks in advance for your help

Nothing beats a visual.

See if a friend has a similar 66' car (or a 65' can work in a pinch with only minor differences.) Try to visit your local Mustang parts dealers. If nothing else, attend some car shows. Take lots of pics with a digital camera of specific areas that you intend to work on soon. Talk with the owner and explain your dilemma in case he has a problem with you taking in-depth photos of his car.

You could also do a trial build before actually having the paint and body work done. Then when disassembling, bag and label the parts for final assembly.
