ok guys i have a 89 lx 5.0 with cold air intake, just above stock cam,2 1/5 in. mac h pipe w/cats and 2 1/5 in. flowmaster cat back w/o tails on it.

i just bought a gt40 polished intake manifold w/65mm throttle body and spacer he also gave me a spacer that goes between the upper and lower should i use that spacer what benifits does it give?also do i put 2 gaskets one above and one below?

My injector question is this he also offered my a great deal on 24# injectors with a 75mm recailibrated maf. I bought them just to have them arround in the future, but i was talking to a guy from a local dyno shop he told me i could install them when i do the manifold. Because they will only fire as much fuel that is needed according to the maf sensor they will not top out like the 19# ones when future mods are done. Which makes to me i just wanted to ask if he was right.
thanks
larry

Yes that would be ok to use them now and that would not create a problem as long as the Mass. matches it, as far as the spacer use 2 gaskets to seal it 1 above 1 below. It might pay to get an adjustable regulator also to tailor your fuel pressure.

The spacer is marketed that it cools the intake temps, but that is not really true. Not sure what size you have, as depending on the company they can be 3/8", 1/2", or 1"
but even with the 1' temps will be pretty close to the same. What most use them for is clearance for your valve covers. Many times the bottom of the TB will hit the valve cover and the spacer gives you some extra clearance. If you have a 1" spacer you will have to check, as for many it causes hood clearance problems. And yes use 2 gaskets one below and 1 above the spacer.

As for the injectors, if it is a "really" good deal buy them now and wait to install them. You won't be topping out the 19's unless you add a power adder or change heads, if the latter you can change them then. If it is power adder say a super charger, the 24s wont be enough.

If you buy the injectors, don't install them until you need them.

Right now the 19's are fine and going too large can sometimes hurt.
