Hey guys. I have had a set of 24# injectors sitting in my shop for months now. I have been hesitating installing them because I was going to buy a SCT 4 bank chip from American Muscle, (BAMA Chips) and have them burn the 24's in the chip. I have been wondering tho. If I install them without the chip or using my stock mass air computer what would happen. I would assume it would run rich, but I have a couple buddies that say they have run them without a tune, chip or calibrated MAF. Has anyone run them with out a tune?

you dont need a chip, the ecu can compensate for the 24s but you DO need a calibrated MAF. Just spend the $150 and you dont have a problem

What he said. You should really calibrate it but it can be done to a point.

Ok, so if I bought a Cobra Mass air meter (from a 93') or any other calibrated for 24# injectors MAF im good? I know there has long been a debate on calibrated MAF's vrs the computer. Some of the stuff I have read has suggested that the only real way to run bigger injectors is to get a Cobra computer or get it tuned into the car and run the maf.

Without a tune the Cobra Mass Air wont work. Its not a calibrated Mass Air. No OEM Mass Air is.

I run 24s with a c&l calibrated MAF. No problems at all, runs fine. Needing a tune and/or a cobra ECU is simply untrue.
