When I get my KB 2.1 twin screw will I need to get bigger injectors with 6 lbs of boost or be safe and get bigger ones? I figure if so I would do it at the same time so when I get the KB chip with the blower I can have it programmed for the same size injectors. Also how much HP can the stock MAF handle before it pegs?

Thanks one and all!

If your buying the kit from KB, it comes with injectors. should run 36lbs min. The KB website site say's the stock maf pegs at about 400 rwhp

lol you wont keep it at 6psi for too long... but if you go with the kit blkhorse is right. might want to consider a lightning or jlt maf or maf extender if you can afford it.

The 96-98 Cobra kit does not come with injectors, only a boost-a-pump. I figured on getting a Lightning MAF at the same time, since I will get the two tune chip I can have it programmed for the Lightning MAF and injector size. I figured to save money now if I could use the stock injectors and down the road when I change the pully then I will get bigger injectors. Anyone know how much boost a stock block can take with a good tune?

I would not chance the stock injectors, save money now, risk detonation/lean condition, pay much, much more later. you can find 03-04 cobra take outs pretty cheap.

I was thinking the same thing, arnt Terminator injectors 42lbs?
Will that support me to 9psi on the blower?

I think they are 39's. the 9 psi KB kit comes with 36's(some are 38's). I have the 38's and work well

I think what I will do is just get the 6lb kit with the chip for 3800, and after I get bored with it I will get the 9lb pulley with the larger MAF meter, 42lb injectors, a large fuel pump (not sure which one) and send the chip to KB for a reprogram.

blkhorse, did you start with the smaller kit? If so how much hp were you putting out, and how much do you have now?

KB says they dont make an intercooled system for the 96-98 Cobra Must be the red head bastard stepchild

The tech told me he does not recommend going above 7-8 psi on their system and the setup is just right at 6 psi so that I dont need larger injectors, which makes me ask what size are the stock Cobra injectors? I want 400 rwhp and I want a twin screw b/c of bottom end torque. Does anyone else make a screw for tyhe Cobra? I cant afford alot ($4000 max) so twin turbo is out and I just like the KB. I guess down the road when I do a rebuild I can lower the compression and put a smaller pully and get more boost. It just seems with what I have and if I get the 8 lb pully and larger pump and injectors I should be right @ 400 rwhp.

don't know much about 4v interchangability, but won't a 03-04 cobra intercooler work?.even if it does,I think you would need the later KB kit
