Ill be changing one of my injectors pretty soon, im 99% the one is leaking but i want to verify this before putting the new one in. My question is if i take the fuel rail off the lower intake and with the injectors still in the rail, if i prime the fuel pump, will the injectors pop out and spray gas all over.....I want to see if its leaking from the pintle when the pumps on...I was going to try this with the driver side rail still bolted in but the passenger half out of the intake, Would i be able to hold the 4 injectors by hand and prime the pump without having gas spray all over? Thanks

My thinking is that it'll spray gas out without the pump primed unless the rail pressure is relieved. Mine dumped gas out when I replaced my lower intake because I forgot to relieve the system pressure.

Not sure if I answered your question or not though.

Removing the injectors from the lower manifold and applying fuel pressure will cause them to pop out of the injector rail. Nasty mess and even worse fire hazard.

Ok thanks, thats what i need to know...I want to try your air compressor and soapy water trick to see if its leaking but I don't have a compressor. Ill just replace it and see if it still makes that noise I was getting with the old one.
