On a related note, I'm about to make a device that will clean injectors in the car. I'm going to use an air/oil separator (like we use on our PCV's). It will connect to the Schrader valve and hold fuel injector cleaner and petrol. Disable the FP and let the car run off the contents in the separator. Sounds like a good way for me to start a fire. I'll be curious to see how it works.

You got it Bill. That's how it is done on the car - injectors get constant 12 volts when the key is on. The injector drivers inside the computer send a ground pulse to the injector and actually energize it. I see no reason to not do it the same way - switching ground on and off is a really clean way to do things (I'd rather not switch 12 volts on and off). It should work well brah. I'm sure you've seen it but the dude on FFI has a write-up for cleaning injectors. It's a pretty good article.
