yall can read my signature to see what combo i currently have but i want to add i have a 255lph pump also, i want and need to upgrade my injectors fuel rails and possibly my MAF sensor and i know i need to adjust my timing is there anyone out there that can give me some advice on what i need? and do i need to change my fuel supply/ return lines? i have and and im fixing to install a holly system max 2 upper and lower intake if that matters. and what items do i need to properly tune my car for the most power. do i know it all needs to work in harmony i just want to know what its gonna take and how to give my car a proper tune but i dont have te experience in that so i am asking.

i got the pump with it but the kit was an ebay special and i didnt get the injectors or the mass airflow sensor. im gonna have to buy all that seperate, and im planning on doing that soon thats why im asking now.

I imagine you're looking for enough injector to adequatly supply your current combo and give you a little room to grow a the same time. That in mind....

75mm Thrttle body
75mm or larger mass air meter (PMAS or SCT for your app)
42lb injectors
Custom Dyno tune --or-- Wideband 02 and programmable tuner

The rest of your fuel system is fine for what you have there. Skip the tuning at your own peril (you'll be back in here with a new thread about your blown motor)

In your case, I would suggest the Dyno-tune. It will run you about $600 initially and about $100 for subsequent tuning if you change something.

I would call procharger and get there recomendations for injector size, and for the mass air that fits their kit, as far as fuel rails go stock should be fine for your set up you will need an adjustable fuel presure regulator. when done find a local shop with a dyno and have them tune it to get the most out of it

I would say upgrade to 30lb injectors with matching injectors, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge, and a wideband if you can swing it. Your stock rails will be fine at your power level, unless you just want the bling bling. PM if you need a set of 30s with matching meter.

I would NOT install the minimum recommended size of injector. What gear head can leave well enough alone? Buy the things one time and leave room for further motor mods. You'll end up saving a fortune in the long run.

i kinda figured that was coming, i dont exactly have the greatest accesability to a dyno. the closest one is 4 hours away that i have found. i was just trying to make it more convenient and im gussing anyone with a dyno will be able to set my timing or make the proper changes to my computer to get the best performance out of it right? the timing and computer are my main concerns as i know very little about setting them. i can get all the parts recomended above does anybody know where i can find a dyno around the tallahassee FL area? or if they can make the changes i need?

Your setup is very mild and can be tuned with fuel pressure and timing. Now if you want every last hp out of it, then go for the tune. Start out with 10* timing with the spout out and 39lbs of fuel pressure with the vac line off. Just make sure you purchase a boost referenced capable regulator. When the boost hits, it will raise the fuel pressure as the boost rises. You may want to snoop around Turbomustangs.com , as they have a wealth of info on boosted engines.

thanks for that info as i was told by someone who obviously doesnt know what he is talking about that i didnt need to adjust my fuel pressure and where can i get a pressure regulator that is boost compatible? would a good dyno shop be able to set all of this for me?

This should help you get started. Call the ones that are nearest you.

The adjsutable fuel pressure regulator method is almost worthless unless you have a way to measure either EGT or AFR in order to adjust in the proper direction. Your "nose" is not a good air fuel ratio meter. A tell-tale sign that you've done it wrong will be indicated by broken parts and/or blown motor. So either way, you'll end up spending money. May as well do it right the first time. There's lots of lucky folks out there that were able to throw it on and go. There are more who threw it on and broke.

Daggar do you think i need to get one and have somebody who can messure my AFR set it for me or just lesve it alone? and do i necessarily need to go through getting my timing/ MAF-injectors matched/ AFR set and computer set to match all of the above. my loong run goal is 500 hp so am i gonna have to go through all this again if get a stroker motor and better heads and more boost?

I'm with Daggar on this one:

75mm TB
75mm MAF (possibly 80mm PMAS or Pro-M)
42lb injectors-face it, it's better to have and not need, than need and not have.
255 in tank pump
GOOD TUNE!

If you want to add the fuel rails, Mallory makes a pretty nice kit, but it requires custom (AN style) fuel lines. Aeromotive's is pricey, but more than you'll ever need for fuel rails, and it plays well with the factory fuel system. Haven't looked at Professional Products, but I know it's only $200 with all required parts...or you could assemble your own from a rail kit, and some fabbed hoses and such.
