Inside Dome Light Question

ok guys, well I went to get into my car and I shut the door. I started the car and the dome light turned on and will not go off. I disconnected the battery and checked my car alarm and neither worked. So right now I have the fuse pulled for it, but I need to know if anyone else has had this problem. Maybe possible causes(short somewhere) and solutions.... Its a 1998 GT. And if anyone has the wiring for it. I would greatly appreciate it (alot). Thanks in advance for your help!

Twist ur headlight knob to turn it off.

I had the same problem with my 99. My solution was to remove the dome bulb and not worry about it.

Yea, first check the headlight ****ch. Also, there's a big thing with Tauruses. The door switch for the dome light when the door is open is in the door latch on the door. Get some good spray penetrant/lube and soak the living crap out of that thing and then open/shut the door a few times to work it in.
My dad had the same problem once with his '98 Taurus, and after this fix it never came back.

Does the light never go off? Have you tried to let it go for, let's say, an hour?

The reason I ask, is to see if the entry system computer is still working. If it is, then eventually the light will time out, and the computer will turn it off.

WD-40 the latch. I have a 98 SHO and the light stayed on. I pulled the relay for about 1/2 a year and then read somewhere how to fix it. It fixed it and the light never stays on anymore. Also learned to use my parking bread at least once a week to keep the rear brakes firm
